What a finale!
Coming into the final FFL round of matches, Mr Howlett had just snatched the lead and was three points clear of Mr Gregory. The pundits were busy comparing Howlett to Mourinho and the social media chatter was all about how this would be a springboard for future seasons.
But, Coach Gregory isn't one for giving up and like all good managers found inspiration after a good squat, so when the full time whistles were blowing in games up and down the country, he makes his final late tactical switch which changes the outcome of the game and takes first place in the Super League by ONE POINT.
Even Lineker said on FFL MOTD (subscription required) last night, there has never been a season like this in the modern era, and I would agree. Well done Coach Gregory, and bad luck Mr Howlett on your debut season.
Andy Wright continued his solid form to take third, with people's champion Ben Elias bagging fourth. Lee Maytum and Nicholas Wyatt take fifth and sixth respectively, whilst in the battle for seventh, Colin Graham's 34 points was just enough to secure his position in next year's Europa Cup.
In the Starting XI League, Mark Howlett takes first prize with Nick Gregory in second. Good to see our own Tom Emlyn Jones picking up third place - well done sirs.
In the Golden Goal League, it's the house wife's favourite, David Fox taking top spot with 121 goals. Richard Solomon and Mark Howlett take the minor placings.
In the Vic Ludorum trophy, I calculate that Mark Howlett takes this most prestigious of prizes with nearly 304 Million points.
Finally, the ten monthly prizes were won by the following -
August - Richard Divall
September - Mark Dannatt / Nigel Baly
October - Lee Maytum
November - Lee Maytum
December - Nicholas Wyatt
January - Nick Gregory
February - Nicholas Wyatt
March - Nicholas Wyatt
April - Richard Gaherty
May - Steve Shorney (with 143 points)
Thank you for entering this year's competition and we hope to see you next season.

PS - as a side note, the JNA Superleague narrowly missed out on the League of Leagues leaderboard, coming 122th in the world.
Hi from FFL HQ
The month of April was very exciting and very wet, particularly for Richard Gaherty who bagged 319 points to take the monthly prize - well done sir. This rockets him up the table to 12th position.
With two weeks to go Nick Gregory is top of the Superleague table by another Jelavic goal (five points) from Mark Howlett in second place.
David Renard tops the Golden Boot with 115 goals to day with a healthy lead over his nearest rival, whilst Mr Howlett leads the Starting XI league.
I haven't worked out who's where in the Vic Ludorum special prize but it looks likely to be between the above contenders.
Somehow, it's the FA Cup final this weekend which has escaped most people's notice, however traditionally this has provided the opportunity for FFL managers to sneak up into the prize places - this year the top seven pay in the Superleague with the top three paying in the Golden Goal and the Starting XI competitions.
Good luck

Manager of the Month for March was a close run thing with Nicholas Wyatt (217) just nicking it (NPI) from Mark "Dougie" Howlett (212).
Dougie does lead the way with 1,534 points in the main League, closely followed by two Nicks, Wyatt (1,517) & Gregory (1,498). Can he be caught? Yes he can, but not by Paul Dennis I suspect ...
In the Golden Goal, Le Renard is miles ahead with 102, eight ahead of his nearest rival.
In the Starting XI, Dougie's topping this as well with 1,281 points, so must be odds on to take the Vic Luduram Prize of best all round performer.
Plenty of time to go and all can change.
TC
Well done to Nicholas Wyatt who takes the February 2012 monthly prize with 257.
TC
Well done to Nick Gregory, who bagged a total of 221 points to take the first monthly prize of 2012.

Hi
Sadly, the FFL haven’t worked out our monthly prize winner so you will have to take it from me that the joint winners were Mark Dannatt’s “Scunny Stars” and Nigel Baly’s “Baly’s Babes”, both of whom scored 152 points during the month.
FFL is back this weekend after the international break so check those injury lists, form affecting paternal gambling issues or a large garden in Argentina to confirm your star striker’s availability.
Good luck

Richard Divall takes the first monthly prize with 175 points. Well done sir.
No such luck for Jelly’s babies who lie bottom of the pile with 70 points. Still early doors and lots to play for.
FFL returns this weekend so check your injuries, transfers and starting XI’s …
Good luck
